Curious about pottery? Want to learn how pots are made? Then enroll in one of our courses to learn the basics of pottery from our expert potters.

You can choose between weekday or weekend batches, we have various time options.
Any one can join, no prior experience required.
Our course is designed for adults only and not suitable for Kids below 14 Years.

Highlights

Initial 4 lessons – Learn about the basics of pottery making which includes wedging, centering, opening, and pulling.
Another 4 Lessons -Learn shapes like bowls, vases, pots, and plates using the knowledge you have learned.
Last 1 Lesson- Glaze introduction class.
Basic level of theory so that you understand the material you are using.
You can choose any four items which will be glazed and fired.
The course fee will cover all necessary supplies as well as the fire and glazing of 4 of your original artworks.
Course fees is non-refundable.
Create the pieces you want, then take your finished pieces home to show off your hard work.

1. How are classes scheduled?

For local students: Classes are held twice a week. You’re free to choose the timing that suits you best from our available session slots.

For outstation students: We conduct the sessions continuously for 9 days (Sundays are off), Please plan your travel and let us know accordingly.

2. I am coming from outstation, and have planned to stay in Jaipur city for 8-10 days. Can I join in for the wheel pottery course at Claybotik?

For outstation students, we conduct the sessions continuously for 9 days (Sundays are off), Please plan your travel and let us know accordingly.

3. How and when can I get my objects created during the course if I have to travel immediately after completing my wheel pottery course?

For outstation students, pots will be couriered to you after they are glaze-fired (an extra charge will be applied for the courier facility, however we are not responsible for breakage happens in transit).

For locals: Objects created are left behind at the studio for firing. This takes about 3 weeks, post which you may come and collect the fired pieces from the studio.

4. Beginner course has how many sessions?

9 sessions of 1.5 to 2 hrs. each

5. Course fees need to be made in advance or part payment is allowed?

Full course fees need to be made at the beginning of the course. Course fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

6. Can I cover up for a session I miss?

Yes, you can make up for the missed sessions. Course fee is valid for 2 months, from the day it was booked.

7. If I am unable to complete the course, can I get the fees back?

Course fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. You have to complete the course within 2 months of enrollment.

8. Can I mix sessions from different batches?

We prefer not to as it could be chaotic, as different batches might be running at different paces.

9. I am an absolute beginner; will I be able to do this?

Yes, the beginner’s course is designed especially for those, even if you have never indulged in any form of art and craft. You may not create a masterpiece but you will end up surprising yourself!

10. What is included in the course fees?

The course fee will cover all necessary supplies (clay, tools, apron) as well as the fire and glazing of 4 of your original artworks.

11. How many students are taken in a batch?

We take only 5 students per batch.

12. How many glaze pieces we can make?

4 glaze pieces can be made during the course.

13. If I like to make more pieces other than what comes with the course?

Yes, you can, firing is charged at Rs.400 per piece.

14. Can I practice after class?

Each class duration is 1.5 to 2 hrs. and instructors are available during the class timings. However, if you like to practice you can spend more hours in the studio depending on the availability of the potter’s wheel or can join our Studio Practice Hours. Instructors are not available during the practice hours.

15. Do you have an advanced level as well?

Yes, once you have completed all your basics at the beginner’s level, you can level up with the advanced course.
